NewSTEPs is a national newborn screening resource center designed to provide data, technical assistance and training to newborn screening programs and assist states with quality improvement initiatives. Their website is an important tool in the newborn screening health community, but proved to be outdated and difficult to navigate. Working closely with colleagues I assisted in reorganizing the site’s structure for a better user experience. I then led the UI design efforts to update the look and feel of the website, while closely adhering to the client’s established brand guidelines.
